China’s Natural Beauty — Yours to Discover

Explore the stunning scenic beauty of a UNESCO World Heritage site and delve into cultural traditions in China’s Fujian Province.

About Your Trip

Celebrate some of China’s most beautiful scenery as you journey around the remarkable canyons, waterfalls and caves that make up the Wuyi Mountains area of Fujian province. Begin with a bamboo-raft ride in the Jiuqu Stream canyon, winding past 9 bends of the impressive landscape. After disembarking, stroll along Song Dynasty Street and visit the Wuyi Palace, 1 of the 6 Taoist palaces in the Song dynasty. End your first adventure with a journey to Tianyou Peak for panoramic views of sheer rock cliffs, gorges and green forests.

The next day, you’ll travel to the location in the Wuyi Mountains where the rare Da Hong Pao tea originates. At Shuilian Cave, watch as water cascades over the cave like a curtain and marvel at the ancient carvings inscribed by emperors of different dynasties. Before the day is over, travel to the Yixiantian scenic area and Huxiao Cave.

What we love:
• The Wuyi Mountains area is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site for outstanding cultural, scenic and biodiversity value.
• The oolong tea known as Da Hong Pao, or Big Red Robe, is made from a plant grown in the soil between mountain boulders and is oftentimes referred to as “rock tea.”
